Meet JCN
Jake Campus Nutrition runs the Transform Challenge. The Paid Social work tested different creative formats and campaign messages to understand which combinations generated recorded purchases.
The Challenge
Challenge promotions need clear messages within a limited enrolment window, with creative decisions grounded in purchase performance.
Making A Time-Limited Offer Count
The Transform Challenge has a defined enrolment window. JCN needed to reach prospective participants while there was still time to act, using creative that explained the offer quickly and gave people a clear reason to explore the programme.
Finding Creative That Drove Purchases
A video can attract attention without producing a sale. The campaign needed to compare image, carousel and video formats against purchase performance, so creative decisions reflected the challenge's commercial outcome rather than engagement alone.
Allocating Budget During The Promotion
Early-bird and later challenge offers created different opportunities within the same promotion. The team needed to respond to the results as they developed, putting more spend behind stronger prospecting activity and carrying useful creative learnings into the next challenge.
Our Approach
Our work for JCN brought together Paid Social.
Test creative for the Transform Challenge
- Compared single images, carousels and video ads to identify which formats encouraged people to purchase the challenge.
- Reviewed the response to early-bird and challenge promotions separately, recognising that the offer and time remaining could affect purchasing decisions.
Back stronger prospecting activity
- Allocated more budget to the stronger top-of-funnel campaign as purchase results emerged.
- Used the leading video's performance and audience results to inform the next challenge, carrying forward what had demonstrated a commercial response.
The Results

Lower-Cost Challenge Sign-Ups
Creative testing identified a strong static ad for the Transform Challenge’s early-bird offer. The leading Advantage+ image variation generated more purchases in the later challenge phase at a lower cost per purchase. This comparison follows the same creative variation across consecutive phases, rather than treating its click-through rate as a business outcome.
- Increase in purchases from the leading ad
- Reduction in the leading ad’s cost per purchase
