Meet Crox Computers
Crox Computers sells, builds, services and rents computers. Its paid programme covered Google Ads and Paid Social, with the rental range emerging as a major contributor to platform-attributed value.
The Challenge
Crox needed to reach both computer shoppers and rental customers, with advertising suited to the different ways those customers buy.
Reaching Two Different Customer Groups
Someone buying a computer and someone considering a rental have different priorities. Crox needed campaign activity that reflected those journeys, with the product and rental offers assessed separately rather than treated as interchangeable sales opportunities.
Taking The Rental Offer Beyond Search
Search could capture existing interest, but the rental range also needed to reach people who were not actively looking for Crox. Paid Social created another route to introduce the offer and test how it performed with a different audience.
Understanding Which Activity Created Value
The account included conversion actions with different value settings. The commercial story needed to focus on the rental campaign's recorded value and purchase performance, keeping nominal values and overlapping platform attribution out of the overall sales claim.
Our Approach
Our work for Crox Computers brought together Google Ads, Paid Social.
Separate product and rental activity
- Ran rental Performance Max alongside shopping campaigns, reflecting the different decisions involved in renting and buying a computer.
- Reviewed campaign contribution and acquisition costs separately so the performance of one offer did not obscure the other.
Introduce rentals through social
- Launched Meta advertising for the rental offer, extending the programme beyond people already searching for computers.
- Tested the offer with social audiences and reviewed attributed purchases, assessing how this additional channel supported customer response.
The Results

A Record Month For Online Rental Sales
The rental campaign drove Crox’s strongest month of Google Ads revenue in the annual review. Compared with the preceding month, rental conversion value and completed conversion actions increased while cost per acquisition fell. This is the peak-month comparison within the review, rather than a claim that every month improved.
- Increase in campaign revenue
- Increase in conversions
- Reduction in cost per conversion
Client Feedback
“We've been using Uppercut since July 2025 and I was pretty sceptical about digital agencies in general having had a bad experience with two previous agencies who promised and didn't deliver. Jeremy worked with us closely looking at results, feedback and we managed to find an approach which started delivering results.”
